La Vie Boheme A BOHEMIAN BALLET IS BREWING… AROVA Contemporary Ballet will close the season with a dazzling original event that transports audiences to Paris, France and the high-kicking, freewheeling world of the infamous Moulin Rouge club. The three year-old company shows-off its bohemian side with “La Vie Boheme” in performance March 5th – 7th at the Virginia Samford Theatre. Experience a night in Paris with six new and favorite dance works by local as well as internationally renowned dance creators. Some of the dance group’s seductive new offering pays homage to Baz Luhrmann’s acclaimed 2001 motion picture “Moulin Rouge.” Similar to the romantic musical-drama, AROVA’s production includes epic romance, daring choreography and a transcendent mix of music styles. The opening-night audience will enjoy “An Evening in Paris” pre-show party from 6:30pm – 7:30pm featuring complimentary wine, art installation and trunk show display featuring fashions from French designers. A post-show discussion will occur after the matinee on Sunday, March 7th.
